How can it be Simple, but not Easy?

Here’s a bonus post for this week.
I have talked a lot about how nutrition does not need to be complicated. It CAN be simpler. It CAN be less confusing.
However, it is NOT easy.
It is easy to gain weight (for most people). It is easy to not exercise. It is easy to microwave a packaged meal. It is easy to eat doughnuts (especially since tomorrow is National Doughnut Day!)
It takes discipline to eat a salad instead. It takes discipline to exercise when you don’t feel like it (and spoiler alert...a lot of times you won’t feel like it).
So, as we talk about simple principles to improve your nutrition, I never want you to mistake simple for easy.
It is going to take discipline. But it is worth it.
I’ll leave you with this thought from Jim Rohn:
“We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.”
So, let’s be disciplined to take the simple steps toward better nutrition...one minute at a time.
